Tune by Shipping

Remove your ECU and send it to us for tuning! Once received, we tune it and ship back to you the same day. Just plug it in and go!

8-Speed Transmission Tuning - Alphaspeed TCU Tunes

Unlike other competitor TCU tunes that use generic files from unknown sources, Alphaspeed TCU tunes are based on six months of in-house testing on personal vehicles. Every tune and feature we release is thoroughly tested through both daily driving and track abuse on our own cars to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

Stage One:

  • Eliminates auto upshifts in Manual Mode and raises shift points in Sport Mode.
  • Allows you to reach the rev limiter set in your ECU tune, unlocking your full powerband.
  • Perfect for 3.8 models (peak power at 6600-7000 RPM) and large turbo 2.0 models (peak power typically 7200+ RPM, depending on turbo size).
  • A budget-friendly way to unlock more power left on the table compared to stock TCU programming.

Stage Two:

  • Includes all the benefits of Stage One, with added shift firmness and speed.
  • Delivers faster shift times for better performance at the track or in high-performance driving.

PRODUCT INFO:

  • Our TCU tune is the most affordable way to fully unlock your Automatic Transmission BK2 Genesis Coupe's potential.
  • Stock TCU programming limits shift points well below peak power (as low as 5700 RPMs at WOT in lower gears).
  • Our TCU tune gives you more RPM headroom, with shifts happening closer to the rev limiter set by your ECU tune.
  • In Manual Mode, gear changes must be initiated by the driver; the TCU will not shift on its own.
  • In Sport Mode, gear changes are dynamic, ranging from 6400 RPMs (1st gear) to ~7200 RPMs.
  • Daily driving remains as smooth and reliable as stock, but when you need extra performance, it’s readily available.

Special Notes:

  • Hyundai has issued a TSB (21-AT-018H) for harsh 2-3, 3-4, and/or 4-5 upshifts in the 8-speed automatic transmission, which affects models like the BK Genesis and Hyundai Equus.
  • If you experience harsh shifts in these gears, even after removing power from the TCU, you may be affected by the issues outlined in the TSB, which typically require shift solenoid replacement.

Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy

Please note that there are not refunds/returns on tuning files. You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
